Terms of Sale for WriteZone Premium

Last updated: September 2026

This is a translation for your convenience. The German version is the legally binding one, as German law governs these terms.

1. Provider and scope

These terms apply to every contract for WriteZone Premium that you conclude via writezone.app or app.writezone.app with

Mathias Todisco, Schleswiger Ufer 5, 10555 Berlin, Germany (email: hello@writezone.app, VAT ID DE297746012 – further details in the legal notice).

The terms of use apply alongside these terms for the community area.

Purchases made inside the apps are not covered here. If you buy Premium in the iOS, macOS or Android app, your contract is with Apple or Google. Their terms apply, and invoicing, cancellation and withdrawal are handled there.

2. What you get

Premium unlocks the paid features of WriteZone – in particular unlimited projects, the statistics with heatmap and insights, and syncing through your account. The free tier remains available; without Premium you can keep one active project.

The scope unlocked in each case follows from the description shown during checkout. We may modify Premium beyond the updates required to keep it in conformity only where there is a valid reason, such as a change in law, security requirements or technical development, no additional costs arise for you and we inform you clearly and comprehensibly.

If a modification impairs your ability to access or use Premium to more than an insignificant extent, we will notify you by email in good time of its features and timing and of your right to end the contract free of charge within thirty days. This does not apply where we continue to provide the unmodified version at no additional cost.

3. How the contract is formed

The display of plans is not a binding offer. By completing checkout with our payment provider you make a binding offer. The contract is formed once we receive confirmation of payment and Premium is unlocked in your account. You then receive a confirmation by email with the invoice attached as a PDF.

The contract language is German or English. We store the contract text; you receive it with the confirmation email and can find your invoices in your account under Billing at any time.

4. Prices and payment

The prices shown during checkout apply. As of September 2026:

Plan Price
Monthly €2.99
Yearly €11.99
One-time (permanent) €29.99

All prices are final prices in euros and include statutory VAT. For consumers outside Germany the VAT rate of the country of residence applies; the final price shown is not affected.

Payment runs through Stripe or PayPal. Which payment methods are available in detail is shown during checkout. Payment data is processed solely by these providers; we neither see nor store complete card or account details.

5. Term, renewal and cancellation

The one-time purchase has no term and does not renew.

A subscription runs for the chosen period and renews for the same period unless you cancel by the end of the current one. You can cancel at any time without giving reasons – in your account under Billing or informally by email to hello@writezone.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; Premium remains active until then. Amounts already paid for the current period are not refunded pro rata unless a withdrawal or a statutory right provides otherwise.

The right to terminate for good cause remains unaffected on both sides.

6. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal. Details and the model withdrawal form are set out in the withdrawal policy. You can declare your withdrawal directly in your account under Billing.

7. Your rights if something is wrong

The statutory provisions on digital products apply (§§ 327 et seq. German Civil Code). We owe the agreed quality as well as the updates needed to keep the product in conformity. If a feature is missing or misbehaves, please write to hello@writezone.app – we’ll fix it. If we don’t manage to within a reasonable time, you may reduce the price or end the contract.

An interruption caused by maintenance, force majeure or disruptions beyond our control is not a defect, as long as it does not impair the benefit lastingly.

8. Availability

We aim for continuous availability but do not owe it to any particular degree. We announce planned maintenance in the service where possible. If the service is unavailable for a significant period, your rights under section 7 apply.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for breach of material contractual obligations – those whose fulfilment makes performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may rely – and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

For loss of data we are liable only to the extent that you have backed up your data to a reasonable degree. WriteZone also stores your entries locally on your devices, and an export is available at any time.

10. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms where there is objective cause – a change in the law or new features, for instance – and the amendment does not unreasonably disadvantage you. We inform you of changes by email at least six weeks before they take effect. If you do not object before they take effect, the amendment is deemed accepted; we point this out separately in the notice. If you do object, we may terminate the contract as of the date the change takes effect.

For running subscriptions, price increases apply only from the next renewal and only after prior notice; until then you can cancel.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another state, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that state remain unaffected.

We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
